Facial Surgery: Torn Earlobe

How is it Done?

Earlobes can be torn from a variety of causes. Mostly, it occurs from long-term wearing of heavy earrings. The injured tissue can be repaired in the office. In some instances, medical insurance can be used to cover the cost of this procedure.

How long before I can wear earrings again?

I recommend that earrings should be avoided for three months. This allows the earlobe to completely heal before earrings are reapplied. However, some patients may wear clip-on earrings in the interim.
